Common problems of gearmotor - cause analysis of abnormal vibration and noise when gearmotor starts again

The noise produced by gearmotor can be roughly divided into electromagnetic noise, ventilation noise, bearing noise and other contact noise. By monitoring the changes of these noises, most of the accidents can be detected before they are formed.
For monitoring sound, you can use the hearing stick purchased in the market (one end of the stick is equipped with a resonator), or you can use a screwdriver or a single metal bar to judge the sound of the bearing and listen to whether there is noise in the bearing.
(1) Listen to the bearing noise of gear reducer motor.
Normal sound - there is no continuous metal sound that goes up and down.
Retainer sound - a light "chirp" sound produced by the rotation of a roller or ball with the retainer, containing irregular metal sounds unrelated to the rotation speed. If the sound decreases or disappears after adding lubricating oil, it has no effect on operation.
Crack sound refers to the sound produced when cracks appear on the raceway surface of the bearing, the surface of the ball and roller, and its period is proportional to the rotation speed. When cracks occur in bearings, they must be replaced quickly before overheating and sintering.
"Crunching" - mostly in roller bearings. "Creak" will disappear after adding lubricating oil. When there is a "creak" sound without abnormal vibration and temperature at the same time, the machine can still be used as usual.
The sound of the roller falling - this is the sound that occurs in the horizontal rotation of the gear reducer motor, can not be heard in normal operation, can be heard in low speed, and is particularly clear when it is about to stop. This kind of "shell bracket" sound is not harmful to the operation.
Dust sound - the sound produced when dust is embedded between the raceway surface and the roller or ball. After the occurrence of dust noise, the bearing parts shall be disassembled and cleaned. At the same time, the dirt at the lubricating oil injection port and the dirt of the lubricating oil injection gun shall be removed, so as to eliminate the cause of blockage again.
(2) Listen to the rotor noise of the geared motor.
Rotor noise is usually fan noise, brush friction noise, occasionally as loud as drum knocking. This is caused by the sudden start and stop, especially in the frequent reverse braking regenerative power generation braking, due to the production torque during the acceleration and deceleration, the coordination between the iron core and the shaft is loose, and the key is seriously scratched.
The fit between the bearing bush and the shaft of the coupling or pulley is too loose; the coupling bolt is worn and deformed; the lubricating oil in the gear coupling is insufficient and the teeth are worn; the belt is loose and worn. All of these factors may cause noise of gearmotor.
(3) Listen to the electromagnetic noise of gear reducer motor.
Generally, there will be more or less electromagnetic noise inside the gearmotor, which will disappear when the power is cut off. Most of the electromagnetic noise is generated by the resonance between the electromagnetic vibration and the outer and stator core. The causes of electromagnetic noise are uneven air gap, loose iron core, unbalanced current and high harmonic current.
When the gearmotor starts again, abnormal vibration and noise may not cause serious damage to the gearmotor in a short time. However, if the time is long, there will be serious consequences. Therefore, we should find out the cause of abnormal vibration and noise of the gearmotor in time and solve them in time, otherwise, the gearmotor will be damaged if the time is long.
